picoVolt originally made his Drama Hands debut as BodhiFunk on our Rude Haus 2012–Forever compilation. While the names may have changed, the weighty electro abstractions remain the same, with Growth Codex showcasing the hardware disciple's latest artistic bloom.

"Geisha Screens" is mechanical stomper — snaking cymbals wash in and out while barbed synths cut deep swathes throughout the track. "Blood Moon Eclipse" is a tense ride with early industrial overtones and gradually mutating rhythms that never stay dormant for long. "49 Transformations" is a sprawling, metallic construction that serves equal duties as a dystopian soundscape and a warehouse destroyer.

A trio of remixes round out Growth Codex — Gumsmile adds his signature vocal sampling and taut structures to "Geisha Screens", repurposing it into an effective club tool. Edmonton newcomers Lamer tackle "Blood Moon Eclipse", taming it slightly with an exercise in techno minimalism. "49 Transformations" gets an intense footwork treatment from Boogie Howser, filled with digital stabs set against Howser's signature lush pads.
